Description:
ELECTRIC WELDING APPARATUS HAVING HARMFUL GAS PURIFIER BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an electric welding apparatus (called as soldering iron) having a harmful gas purifier which is capable of purifying a harmful gas produced during a welding operation, and in particular to an electric welding apparatus which is implemented using lead as a welding material for welding a connection line or terminal of an electronic product and which is capable of purifying an indoor air by purifying a harmful gas produced when lead is melted using a filter and discharging the air to the outside.

2. Description of the Background Art The electric welding apparatus is a kind of a life item generally used in a technical high school or home or an electric product repair shop, etc.

However, the above electric welding apparatus produces a lot of harmful gas during a welding process in which lead is melted. Therefore, the thusly produced gas is very harmful to a person who works in a classroom or a narrow space. In addition, the conventional electric welding apparatus is improper for a person who works in home or a narrow space.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier which overcomes the problems encountered in the conventional art and is capable of preventing an indoor air pollution by purifying a harmful gas in an electric welding apparatus according to the present invention.

It is another object of the present invention to provide an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier which is capable of sucking a harmful gas produced during an electric welding process, purifying the sucked harmful gas using a filter and discharging into the air using a fan for thereby purifying an indoor air.

To achieve the above objects, there is provided an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier in which a suction pipe having a suction port is installed in a surrounding portion of a heating rod. A filter is provided in the interior of the suction pipe. A blowing fan is installed in a rear end. The blowing fan blows a harmful gas generated when lead is melted at an end of the heating rod, based on a suction force, for thusly purifying the harmful gas using the filter and discharging to the outside.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The present invention will become better understood with reference to the accompanying drawings which are given only by way of illustration and thus are not limitative of the present invention, wherein; Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier according to the present invention; Figure 2 is a partial enlarged view illustrating an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier according to the present invention; Figure 3 is a cross sectional view taken along line A-A of Figure 2 according to the present invention; and Figure 4 is a perspective view illustrating the whole construction of an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The construction and operation of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier according to the present invention, Figure 2 is a partial enlarged view illustrating an electric welding apparatus having a harmful gas purifier according to the present invention, and Figure 3 is a cross sectional

view taken along line A-A of Figure 2 according to the present invention.

As shown therein, in an electric welding apparatus 100 which includes a heating rod 10 connected with an electric cord 12 through a connection terminal 11, a heating rod support pipe 20 adapted to protect the heating rod 10, a handle 30, and a fixing unit 21 for fixing the handle 30 and the heating support pipe 20, respectively, there is provided an electric welding apparatus which includes a suction pipe 40 provided behind the heating rod 10, namely, in a circumferential portion of the heating rod support pipe 20. The suction pine 40 includes a suction port 41 between the heating rod 10 at a front end, and a harmful gas pipe 42 provided in the interior of the same, a filter 43 provided in the harmful gas pipe 42; and a blowing fan 44 provided in a rear end of the same.

The filter 43 is designed not to be heated by providing an adiabatic material between the heating rod support pipe 20 and the filter 43. The blowing fan 44 is operated by a motor M connected with an electric cord 12. In the drawings, reference numeral 50 represents a band.

The suction pipe 40 is fixed to the fixing unit 21 using a bolt.

In the thusly constituted apparatus according to the present invention, when a power is connected with the electric welding apparatus 100, the heating rod 10 is heated, and the blowing fan 44 is operated.

As the heating rod is heated and melts lead, a harmful gas is generated.

The suction port 41 of the suction pipe 40 provided in a rear side of the heating

rod sucks the generated harmful gas through the harmful gas pipe 42. The sucked gas flows through the filter 43 based on a suction force of the blowing fan 44 and is discharged to the outside of the suction pipe 40.

Therefore, the harmful gas is purified by the filter and spread into the air, so that the indoor air is purified.

Since the suction pipe 40 is fixed to the fixing portion 21 by a bolt, the assembling and disassembling operations are simple. In addition, the filter 43 is disconnected from the heating rod support pipe 20 by the adiabatic material, so that the filter is not heated. The filter is exchanged when it is over used. When storing the electric welding apparatus, the cords are arranged and tied up using the band for thereby implementing an easier storing process.

As described above, in the present invention, since the harmful gas produced when a lead is melted is purified and discharged to the outside, the indoor gas is purified, without affecting a human body. It is possible to maintain a clean indoor air. When storing the electric welding apparatus according to the present invention, the cords are arranged near the handle and tied up using the band for thus implementing a clean and arranged storing of the apparatus.

As the present invention may be embodied in several forms without departing from the spirit or essential characteristics thereof, it should also be understood that the above-described examples are not limited by any of the details of the foregoing description, unless otherwise specified, but rather should be construed broadly within its spirit and scope as defined in the appended claims, and therefore all changes and modifications that fall within the meets and bounds of the claims, or equivalences of such meets and bounds are therefore intended to be embraced by the appended claims.
