This electric wheelchair, for use in fencing, kendo or tankendo, includes: a seat portion 11; and a grip portion 14 which is gripped by a competitor during competition and which is provided in such a way as to be located to the rear of the seat portion 11, as seen in a plan view, at the height of the waist of the competitor seated on the seat portion 11.
