Abstract:
An electric wire coloring device and electric wire coloring method capable of reliably ejecting droplet by droplet a predetermined amount of a coloring material toward the outer surface of an electric wire. An electric wire coloring device (1) has a coloring nozzle (31). The coloring nozzle (31) has a solenoid valve (51) ejecting when opened a droplet of a coloring material toward the outer surface (3a) of an electric wire (3) and stopping when closed the ejection of the coloring material toward the outer surface (3a) of the electric wire (3). A spike voltage is applied to a coil (40) of the solenoid valve (51) when the coloring material is ejected. The spike voltage is a voltage applied to the coil (40) necessary to open the solenoid valve (51). The solenoid valve (51) opens when the spike voltage is applied. The spike voltage is continuously applied to the coil (40) even if the solenoid valve (51) is open. After a predetermined time after the start of the application of the spike voltage, the application to the coil (40) is stopped.
