Abstract:

The present invention provides an electric wire conductor with which it is possible to achieve both flexibility and space-saving properties, a covered electric wire comprising such an electric wire conductor, and a wire harness. There is used an electric wire conductor 10 comprising a twisted wire in which a plurality of element wires 1 are twisted, a cross-section that intersects the axial direction of the twisted wire having a flat part comprising a flat shape. The conductor cross-section area and the porosity satisfy the relationship v > 0.29s + 2.0, where s mm2 is the conductor cross-section area in the flat part, and v% is the porosity, which is the ratio of a void not occupied by the element wire, in the cross-section of the flat part. Also, there is used a covered electric wire having such an electric wire conductor 10 and an insulator covering the outer circumference of the electric wire conductor 10. Furthermore, there is used a wire harness that includes such a covered electric wire.
