This electrical connection device is provided with: a probe (10) having a tubular barrel (11) and also having a bar-shaped top-side plunger (121) and a bar-shaped bottom-side plunger (122), which are joined to the barrel (11) with the front ends of the top-side and bottom-side plungers (121, 122) exposed from open ends at the opposite ends of the barrel (11); and a probe head (20) having guide plates (211-212) which are arranged at a distance from each other in the axial direction of the probe (10) and which have formed therein through-holes through which the body section of the barrel (11) extends. A protrusion (13) having a greater outer diameter than the body section of the barrel (11) is disposed at the outer periphery of the probe (10). The guide plates (211-212) include a support guide plate having a through-hole having a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the protrusion (13). The probe (10) is supported by the support guide plate with the top-side plunger (121) facing upward and with the lower part of the protrusion (13) being in contact with the edge of an opening of the through-hole in the support guide plate.
