Abstract:
This electrical connector is provided with: an insulating housing that has at least one holder having disposed therein an insertion port into which a flat conductor can be inserted; and a plurality of conductive plate-like contacts (20) that are held in one of the at least one holder. The plate-like contacts (20) are capable of being elastically deformed independently from one another, and each have: a movable-side contact point (221) which is disposed at an end closer to the insertion port, and which is electrically contactable with the flat conductor; and a base section (212) which is disposed at a farther-side end from the insertion port, and which is exposed out of the housing so as to be connectable to a substrate, wherein the plate-like contacts are stacked in the plate thickness direction, and each of the contact points (221) is configured to be able to be independently pressed, by elastic deformation, against the flat conductor inserted in the insertion port.
