Abstract:
An electrical control system for a horizontal directional drilling machine and a control method therefor. During automatic disassembly of a rod, when a position sensor feeds back that a drill rod arrives at an unbuckling position, the drill rod stops rotating and drilling, a gripper performs clamping, overturning and unbuckling, and a power head rotates reversely and then pulls backwards for unbuckling; and during automatic assembly of a rod, when the position sensor feeds back that the power head arrives at a rod assembly position, after a detection device detects the presence of the drill rod in the gripper, the controller controls a manipulator to overturn to assemble the rod, and after the rod is assembled in place, the power head rotates forwards and pushes forwards to tighten the drill rod. The electrical control system for a horizontal directional drilling machine and the control method therefor can realize automatic assembly and disassembly of a drill rod, and the assembly and disassembly of the drill rod are more convenient, without being affected by subjective judgment of a drilling machine operator.
