Abstract:

[Problem] To provide an electrical device (1) separator severing apparatus (700) and severing method whereby it is possible to adequately remove severing dust (30c) in addition to a severed piece (30b) of a severed separator (30). [Solution] An electrical device (1) separator severing apparatus severs a separator which comprises a melt material (31) which is a substrate, and a heat-resistant member (32) which is stacked upon the melt material and has a higher melt temperature than the melt material (31). The separator severing apparatus comprises at least two severing members (710, 720) which are positioned separate from one another, a first suction member (731), and second suction members (732, 733). The severing members sever the separator such that a severed piece arises. The first suction member moves the severed piece in a direction away from the separator while sucking up the severed piece. The second suction members suck up the severing dust which occurs in the severing of the separator.
