Abstract:
An electrical power transfer apparatus has: an electrical power transmitting device that has an AC power supply (101) equipped with a circuit for outputting electrical power including at least a fundamental harmonic and a second harmonic of the fundamental harmonic, and a transmission line (102) for transmitting electrical power, said transmission line (102) having an input end (103) into which electrical power outputted from the AC power supply (101) is inputted and an output end (104) that is an open end or a short-circuited end; and electrical power receiving devices (106a, 106b) that use couplers (107a, 107b) to receive electrical power in a non-contact manner via an electric or magnetic field leaked from the transmission line (102). If the output end (104) is an open end, electric field couplers are provided as the couplers (107a, 107b). If the output end (104) is a short-circuited end, magnetic field couplers are provided as the couplers (107a, 107b).
