Abstract:
An arm drive device for a V-belt type stepless transmission has: a covered cylindrical connection member (77) connected to an arm member; a ball screw (71) provided within the connection member (77); and a casing (77a) for supporting the connection member so that the connection member is movable in the cylinder axis direction thereof and is non-rotatable. The nut (79) of the ball screw is integral with the connection member, and the screw shaft (76) of the ball screw is connected to a rotational drive device (72). Because of the configuration in which the rotation of the screw shaft moves the nut, the connection member connected to the arm member can be formed in a covered cylindrical shape, and the accommodation of the screw shaft within the connection member prevents foreign matter from entering the screw section. As a result, the ball screw is dust-proofed.
