Abstract:

An electrically driven brush device configured in such a manner that protrusions can be substantially uniformly pressed against a scalp in cleaning or massaging the scalp. An electrically driven brush device provided with a device body (2) as the drive section, and also with a brush section (3) operated by the device body (2). The brush section (3) comprises a base plate (4) which consists of a flexible material and protrusions (5) which are provided on the surface (4S) of the base plate (4) so as to protrude therefrom. A frame body (6) for holding the peripheral edge (4A) of the base plate (4) is provided to the device body (2). The frame body (6) is provided in such a manner that the outer section (6B) of the frame body is bent so as to be located farther away from the brush device body (2) than the inner section (6A) of the frame body. As a result, even if the base plate (4) of the brush section (3) and the frame body (6) for holding the base plate have a non-circular shape, the uniformity of the contact force of the protrusions (5) against a scalp (S) can be increased.
