Abstract:
Provided is an electrically driven work device such that the quality of insulation between switching components and brushes can be improved. This electrically driven work device (10) is capable of switching the rotation direction of a rotor (19) of an electric motor (17) by changing the direction of a current supplied to the armature (29) disposed on the rotor (19), said electrically driven work device being equipped with: a brush support (43) for supporting brushes (51, 53) through which a current supplied to the armature (29) flows; a forward/reverse changeover switch which is disposed on a path for supplying the current to the armature (29) and which has multiple contacts; a casing (83) in which the forward/reverse changeover switch is disposed; and connection pieces which are connected to the brushes (51, 53) and which change the direction of the current supplied to the armature (29) by being connected to or disconnected from the contacts, wherein the connection pieces are disposed inside the casing (83).
