Disclosed is an electrically-heated catalyst wherein the flow of electricity to a case (5) for the electrically-heated catalyst (1) is suppressed. The electrically-heated catalyst comprises: a heating element (3) that generates heat by electricity; the case (5) which houses the heating element (3); a mat (6) disposed between the heating element (3) and the case (5) and which insulates against electricity; and internal tubes (4) disposed further inside than the case and further outside than the heating element (3), which separate the mat (6) into the case (5) side and the heating element (3) side, and which are supported by the mat (6). The distance between the internal tubes (4) and the case (5) shall be the distance required to support the internal tubes (4), where the mat (6) is located, and the distance required to avoid discharge between the internal tubes (4) and the case (5), where the internal tubes (4) protrude from the mat (6).
