Abstract:
Provided is an electrically powered tool, such as a portable cutting machine, configured so that particularly gear noise from a reduction gear train, etc. in a non-load condition is reduced. This electrically powered tool has: an edge tool 12; an electric motor 11 having a motor shaft 11a; and a gear train 20 for transmitting the rotational output of the electric motor 11 to the edge tool 12 and having a first gear 11g which is supported by the motor shaft 11a, an intermediate shaft 22, an intermediate gear 21 which meshes with the first gear 11g and which is supported by the intermediate shaft 22, a final shaft 16, the front end of which is mounted to the edge tool 12, a final gear 26 which meshes with the intermediate gear 23 and which is supported by the final shaft 16, and elastic members 31, 32 which are provided between the final shaft 16 and the final gear 26.
