The objective of the present invention is to provide an electricity generator controller and an electricity generator system employing the same, with which, when electricity is being generated using an energy supply source such as natural energy or waste energy from which the amount of energy supplied is not constant but exhibits relatively large fluctuations, an electricity generation operation can be allowed to continue by controlling the amount of electricity generated appropriately in accordance with the amount of energy supplied. In order to achieve this objective, an electricity generator controller which controls a synchronous electricity generator comprises: an arithmetic processing unit which determines the rotational speed of the synchronous electricity generator; and a storage unit which stores control parameters necessary for computations performed by the arithmetic processing unit; wherein the arithmetic processing unit is configured to perform control to start/stop the electricity generation operation of the synchronous electricity generator in accordance with an increase or decrease in the amount of energy supplied to the synchronous electricity generator, to control regenerative torque such that the voltage of a direct current unit attains a prescribed value, and to restrict the maximum value of the amount of electricity generated in accordance with the amount of energy supplied.
