Abstract:
An electricity storage device 10 has an electricity storage element 11 encapsulated in an exterior member 20 of a stacked body including a thermally adhesive resin layer 38, and is installed as a drive source in an electric vehicle 1, wherein: the exterior member 20 has a peripheral edge seal part 21, and a housing part 16 that is formed at a predetermined depth from the inner edge of the peripheral edge seal part 21 and that houses the electricity storage element 11; and a depth direction (Z direction) of the housing part 16 and an X direction thereof which is orthogonal to the depth direction are in the front-back direction or the left-right direction of the electric vehicle 1, and a depth direction (Z direction) of the housing part 16 and a Y direction thereof which is perpendicular to the X direction are in the height direction of the electric vehicle 1. Furthermore, a valve device 50 that enables communication between the housing part 16 and an external space is attached to the exterior member 20 at the peripheral edge seal part 21.
