Abstract:
An electricity storage device is equipped with an electrode assembled body and a case housing the electrode assembled body. The case includes: a case main body having an opening portion; a plate-like lid body for sealing the opening portion; and a joint portion where the case main body and the lid body are welded to each other. The lid body has a pressure release valve that is formed being integrated with the lid body and is configured so that the pressure inside the case is released to the outside of the case. The lid body also has an enclosing region enclosing the pressure release valve, said enclosing region having, in at least a section having the smallest distance between the joint portion and the enclosing region, a thin portion thinner than the plate thickness of the lid body or a thick portion thicker than the plate thickness of the lid body.
