A secondary battery 10 is provided with first and second electrode assembly bodies 12a, 12b and first and second negative electrode tab groups 19a, 19b. The first and second negative electrode tab groups 19a, 19b respectively have collected foil portions 41 each constituted by a plurality of collected tab portions and extension portions 42 extending from the collected foil portions 41 toward each other. The extension portions 42 of the respective tab groups have: portions-to-be-welded 43 that are welded with a negative electrode conductive member 16a in a state that all tabs constituting the tab groups are laminated; and step portions 44 positioned on the end side of negative electrode tabs 38 from the portions-to-be-welded 43. In the step portions 44, the plurality of tabs are laminated in a state that the end portions thereof are shifted in a step-like manner. The secondary battery 10 is provided with an overlapped portion 45 where the step portions 44 of the first negative electrode tab group 19a and the second negative electrode tab group 19b are overlapped with each other in the lamination direction of the negative electrode tabs 38.
