Abstract:
This electricity storage system completes balanced charging in a shorter time while preventing the degradation of a lead-acid storage battery cell. The electricity storage system (100) is provided with: a storage battery string (20) including a plurality of lead-acid storage battery cells (200_1 to 200_n); and a control device (1) for monitoring the state of the storage battery string (20) and controlling the charging/discharging of the storage battery string (20) via an AC/DC conversion device (3). When performing balanced charging, the control device (1) performs a first charging control for charging the storage battery string (20) with a constant current or a constant power. When the electricity storage voltage based on the lead-acid storage battery cells (200) reaches a first threshold value (Vt1) during the first charging control, the control device (1) switches from the first charging control to a second charging control for charging the storage battery string (20) by continuously decreasing charging current (I) in accordance with the rise of the voltage (Vs) of the storage battery string (20). When the voltage (Vs) of the storage battery string (20) reaches a second threshold value (Vt2) during a second charging control, the control device (1) switches from the second charging control to a third charging control for charging the storage battery string (20) with a constant voltage.
