Abstract:
Provided are an electricity storage system, and a method for controlling the electricity storage system, configured so that the phenomenon of an increase in resistance is unlikely to occur in usage conditions in which an increase in resistance of a storage battery occurs easily. The electricity storage system is provided with an electricity storage device having a storage battery, a power conversion device for charging and discharging the electricity storage device, and a control device for controlling the power conversion device. The maximum charging current value for charging the electricity storage device with regenerative energy from a vehicle, etc., is 5C or more. When the charging current is greater than the discharge current, the system maintains voltage after discharging the electricity storage device to a voltage value at which, during the night, etc., the voltage difference relative to a pause start time reaches or exceeds a set value when the external load for performing powered and regenerative operation is paused.
