Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are an electricity supply method and a related apparatus, configured to enable a station to run if mains electricity fails, so as to prolong a running duration of a station. In the present application, if mains electricity fails, the current electric quantity of a standby power device is acquired in real time; a target electric quantity is determined according to a target load and a target power failure duration, the target electric quantity being an electric quantity for a station to run to a target time point according to the target load, the target time point being a time point at the end of the target power failure duration which starts from the failure of the mains electricity, and electricity consumption per unit time of the target load being less than electricity consumption per unit time of a lossless running load; if the current electric quantity is greater than the target electric quantity, the station is enabled to run according to the lossless running load; and if the current electric quantity is not greater than the target electric quantity, the station is enabled to run according to the target load, thereby ensuring, by means of the cooperation between the station and the standby power device, user experience of a mobile terminal to the maximum extent while ensuring a running duration of the target load.
