Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrificating member which has homogeneous electrical resistivity, rarely undergoes the change in electrical resistivity even when an electrical current is applied continuously for a long period, and consequently rarely undergoes the change in electrificating performance over time. The electrificating member comprises an electrically conductive support and an elastic layer. The electrificating member is characterized in that the elastic layer comprises a vulcanized rubber, the vulcanized rubber is a vulcanized product of a composition that comprises a binder polymer comprising a polymer having a butadiene skeleton and electrically conductive particles comprising carbon black, and the polymer having a butadiene skeleton has a molecule terminal modified with an atom group having a specific structure.
