Abstract:
The present application relates to the technical field of energy storage. In particular, disclosed are an electrochemical apparatus, a battery module and an electronic device. The electrochemical apparatus comprises an electrode assembly, a tab and a shell. The shell comprises a main body, the electrode assembly is contained in the main body, one end of the tab is connected to the electrode assembly, and the other end of the tab extends out of a first side face of the main body. The shell comprises a tail sealing portion, a first connecting portion and a first side sealing portion, the tail sealing portion and the first side sealing portion are respectively connected to a second side face and a third side face of the main body, the third side face is located between the second side face and the first side face, which are arranged opposite each other, and the first side sealing portion is connected to the tail sealing portion by means of the first connecting portion. The tail sealing portion is configured to fold in a first direction, and the first side sealing portion is configured to fold in a second direction, so that the first connecting portion is tightly attached to the second side face of the main body, wherein the first direction is perpendicular to the direction from the first side face to the second side face, and the first direction is opposite to the second direction. By the means of the present application, the energy density can be improved.
