Abstract:

This electrochemical cell comprises: a first electrolyte layer including an oxide ion conductor; a second electrolyte layer including a proton conductor; a first electrode which is positioned between the first electrolyte layer and the second electrolyte layer and is in contact with a first principal surface of the first electrolyte layer and a first principal surface of the second electrolyte layer, and which is configured so that a gas flows into the first electrode; a second electrode for generating oxygen, the second electrode being provided on a second principal surface of the first electrolyte layer; and a third electrode for generating hydrogen, the third electrode being provided on a second principal surface of the second electrolyte layer.
