Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electrochemical element that makes it possible to improve power generation efficiency. This electrochemical element is provided with a conductive plate-like support body comprising an internal flow path in the interior thereof. The plate-like support body comprises: a gas flow-permitting section P2 that makes it possible for a gas to be transmitted between the outside and the internal flow path, i.e., the inner side of the plate-like support body in at least part of a metal support body 32 constituting the plate-like support body; and an electrochemical reaction section 43 that covers all or part of the gas flow-permitting section P2 and that comprises at least a film-like electrode layer 44, a film-like electrolyte layer 46, and a film-like counter electrode layer 48 in this order. A plurality of flow paths are formed within the interior flow path of the plate-like support body.
