Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrochemical element which comprises a positive electrode (2), a negative electrode (1), a nonaqueous electrolyte solution, and a separator (3). The electrochemical element is characterized in that: the separator (3) is provided with a porous layer (I), which is configured of a microporous membrane that is mainly composed of a thermoplastic resin, and a porous layer (II), which contains a filler that has a heat resistance of not less than 150˚C as the main component; the negative electrode (1) contains, as a negative electrode active material, a graphite that has an R value, which is the ratio of the peak intensity at 1360 cm-1 to the peak intensity at 1580 cm-1 in argon ion laser Raman spectra, of 0.1-0.5, and an interplanar distance d002 between (002) planes of not more than 0.338 nm; the graphite content in the negative electrode active material is not less than 30% by mass; and the nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains a dinitrile compound, an acid anhydride, vinyl ethylene carbonate or a derivative thereof.
