Abstract:
An electrochromic display device (1) comprises: an electrochromic layer (32) provided between a first substrate (11) and a second substrate (41), the electrochromic layer being composed of a reduced electrochromic layer (32a) having a first electrode (33) and reduced color development pigments (22), and an oxidation electrochromic layer (32b) provided adjacent to the reduced electrochromic layer (32a) and having a second electrode (31) and oxidation color development pigments; and a black matrix (40) provided between the second substrate (41) and the oxidation electrochromic layer (32b).
