Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problems of, firstly, providing an electroconductive material that is inexpensive and has excellent safety and electrical conductivity, and secondly, providing a force-sensing element in which the electroconductive material can be applied and which is capable of deriving the size of an applied external force and a change therein as an electrical resistance value, an electrostatic capacitance value, or another electrical characteristic value, and a force sensor capable of detecting a change in the electrical characteristic value in accordance with the applied external force using the force-sensing element. The inventors of the present invention solved the first problem by providing an electroconductive material in which PEDOT-pTS or PEDOT-PSS is adhered to the surface of a substrate containing paper. In addition, as a solution to the second problem, the inventors discovered a force-sensing element and a force sensor including the same, the force-sensing element including one or more final-twisted yarns or a false-twisted yarn to which an electroconductive polymer is adhered, in which an electrical characteristic value during energization thereof varies in accordance with an external force, and the inventors discovered that the electroconductive material can be applied in the element and the sensor, and that the electroconductive material can also be used as a separation operation discriminating element for discriminating a movement in a non-contact state by a variation in the electrical characteristic value in the element.
