Abstract:
Provided is an electroconductive member for electrophotography in which the electrical resistance value is unlikely to vary due to energizing by DC current and in which bleeding of an ion conductive agent is inhibited. The electroconductive member has an electro conductive substrate and an electroconductive layer. The electroconductive layer includes an epichlorohydrin rubber having at least an alkylene oxide (AO) unit, an epichlorohydrin (ECH) unit, and sulfonic acid ions. The AO unit is at least one among an ethylene oxide unit, a propylene oxide unit, and a butylene oxide unit. The total content of the AO unit in the rubber is 5 to 60 mass%, and the content of the ECH unit in the rubber is 30 mass% or more.
