Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrode assembly in which a plurality of electrodes are stacked and separators are inserted between neighboring electrodes, wherein the outermost electrode placed on the outermost layer of the electrode assembly is stacked such that a slurry is coated on one side surface of a current collector, a protective layer is bonded to the other side surface, and the slurry comes in contact with the separators. In addition, a method for manufacturing the electrode assembly comprises the steps of: forming the outermost electrode by coating a slurry on one side surface of a current collector and stacking a protective layer on the other side surface; passing the outermost electrode between a pair of rolling rollers so as to roll the same; and stacking the rolled outermost electrode so as to be positioned on the top layer or the bottom layer of the electrode assembly.
