Abstract:
Disclosed are an electrode assembly and a method for manufacturing the electrode assembly. In order to manufacture an electrode assembly having a curved surface with a smaller curvature radius than the conventional one, an aspect of the present invention provides an electrode assembly comprising an electrode laminate which comprises multiple basic units, each including an electrode and a separator, and has a structure in which the multiple basic units are successively laminated, wherein: the periphery of the electrode laminate is at least partially surrounded by a separator; a curved surface having a curvature radius is formed at the upper surface or lower surface of the electrode laminate; and the separator at least partially surrounding the periphery of the electrode laminate surrounds the curved surface formed at the electrode laminate, so as to maintain the relative distance between the basic units adjacent to each other.
