Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrode assembly which is capable of simplifying the connection work between an electrode block and a conductive rod. An electrode assembly (10) according to the present invention is used in an electrolytic furnace for aluminum smelting, and comprises an electrode block (11) which is formed of carbon and has a columnar hole (11a), and a columnar conductive rod (12) which is formed of a metal and is inserted into the hole (11a). The conductive rod (12) has a blade part (12a) at least at the front end thereof, the blade part having a shape that is formed by cutting away a part of the conductive rod (12) in the shape of a groove.
