Title:
ELECTRODE CATALYST INCLUDING IRIDIUM OXIDE NANOSHEET AS CATALYTIC PROMOTER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/095431
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electrode catalyst that exhibits high performance as a reversal-tolerant anode catalyst in a fuel cell. [Solution] The aforementioned problem is solved by configuring an electrode catalyst from a composite catalyst in which an iridium oxide (IrO2) nanosheet is mixed as a catalytic promoter of a Pt/C catalyst. The weight proportion (percentage) of the IrO2 nanosheet to the total of Pt/C and IrO2 is preferably within the range of 1-26% inclusive, and Pt:Ir (atomic ratio) constituting the composite catalyst is preferably within the range of 1.5:1-50:1.
