Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electrode catheter for treatment of lung cancer which has an electrode with a variable outer diameter and is capable of uniformly performing a cautery treatment along the circumferential direction of the bronchi. This electrode catheter for treatment of lung cancer is provided with: a catheter shaft 10; an electrode 20 that is fixed to the distal end of the catheter shaft 10, is constituted from a metal tube M1 having a plurality of slits 21 formed in the axial direction, and, when compressed in the axial direction, expands in the radial direction and thereby deforms into a basket shape; a distal end tip 25 fixed to the distal end of the electrode 20; an operation handle 30 fixed to the proximal end of the catheter shaft 10; a conducting wire 40 connected to the electrode 20 and extending along the interior of the catheter shaft 10; a temperature sensor 50 that has a temperature measuring unit 55 fixed to the electrode 20 and extends along the interior of the catheter shat 10; and an operation wire 60 that has a distal end part 61 fixed to the distal end tip 25, extends along the interior of the catheter shat 10 to be movable in the axial direction, and has a pullable proximal end.
