An electrode material for batteries, which is composed of a tungsten oxide powder that has a first peak which is present within the wavelength range of 268-274 cm-1, a second peak which is present within the wavelength range of 630-720 cm-1 and a third peak which is present within the wavelength range of 800-810 cm-1 when Raman spectroscopy is performed thereon.
