Abstract:
An electrode material that is obtained by press molding a mixed powder, which is obtained by mixing a Cu powder, a Cr powder and a refractory metal powder (for example, an Mo powder), and firing the thus-obtained molded body in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature that is not higher than the melting point of Cu. A Cr powder wherein the volume-based relative particle amount of the particles having particle diameters of 40 μm or less is less than 10% is used as the Cr powder to be mixed in the mixed powder. The Cr powder is mixed in the mixed powder in an amount of 10-50% by weight, while the refractory metal powder is mixed in the mixed powder in an amount of 1-10% by weight.
