Abstract:
An electrode needle with a temperature sensor, the electrode needle having a
hollow outer needle (1), an inner needle (2), and a connection tube (3) connected
to a base end section of the outer needle. The outer needle (1) is capable of being
inserted into a diseased part of a patient and whose outer peripheral surface
excluding the forward end portion is covered with an insulative coating (11).
The inner needle (2) has the temperature sensor (21) at its forward end. A high-frequency
current is supplied to the outer needle via the inner needle. A base end section
(22) of the inner needle is inserted in the connection tube so as to be axially positionally
adjustable by simple operation. In the connection tube (3)is provided a spring
member (32) having a wound section (32a) wound around the outer periphery of the
base end section (22) of the inner needle (2) and also having a fixation section
(32b) fixed to the connection tube (3). When the base end section (22) of the inner
needle (2) is rotated in the direction opposite the winding direction of the wound
section (32a), the base end section (22) of the inner needle (2) axially moves.
