Abstract:

The present invention relates to a secondary battery comprising an electrode assembly in which electrodes and separators are alternately stacked and wound, wherein the electrode comprises: a current collector; a first coating layer formed by firstly coating an electrode active material on a surface of the current collector; and a second coating layer formed by secondly coating an electrode active material on the outside of the first coating layer, and wherein the length of one end of the second coating layer is formed to be shorter than the length of one end of the first coating layer on the basis of the winding direction of the electrode, such that a step is formed between the one end of the first coating layer and the one end of the second coating layer as the electrodes are wound from the center of the winding toward the outside.
