Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain an electrode for a secondary battery with which can be realized a secondary battery that has high output and long life with a small quantity of a conduction aid. The present invention is an electrode for a secondary battery, comprising a combination layer that includes graphene and secondary battery active material particles that include at least lithium and nickel, wherein the average aspect ratio of a conductive material portion in a cross-section of the electrode for the secondary cell identified by the method below is at least 2.0. The method for identifying conductive material portion comprises: (1) obtaining spreading resistance values of the combination layer portion by a scanning spreading resistance microscope method; (2) setting the total data count of the spreading resistance values as N and rearranging the spreading resistance values in order from smallest to largest, setting the 0.1N-th (rounding off decimals of 0.1N) as R and performing binarization processing on two-dimensional data of the spreading resistance values using 0.7R as a threshold, and obtaining a binarized image the portion of which having resistance values of 0.7R or less is identified as the conductive material portion.
