Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electrode substrate which is capable of reducing the weight and cost of a CIS solar cell and making the CIS solar cell flexible. The electrode substrate provides a photoelectric conversion efficiency that is comparable to the photoelectric conversion efficiency of conventional CIS solar cells. [Solution] Provided is an electrode substrate (30) for CIS solar cells, wherein an Mo film (a lower electrode layer (2)) is formed on a Cu coating layer (12) of a Cu-coated steel sheet (20) that has the Cu coating layer (12) which has an Na content of 0.001-1.000% by mass and an average thickness of 0.1 μm or more. In this connection, an electrolytically Cu-plated steel sheet, which is obtained using a Cu plating bath that contains an Na salt, can be used as the Cu-coated steel sheet (20). The sheet thickness of the Cu-coated steel sheet (20) including the Cu coating layer (12) is, for example, 0.02-2.00 mm. Various types of steel can be used as steel that serves as a base (11) for the Cu-coated steel sheet (20), and examples thereof may include ordinary steel and ferritic stainless steel.
