Abstract:
This electrode to be attached to a living body is provided with: a first stretchable base material; a conductive pattern that is provided on one primary surface of the first stretchable base material and is made of an electrode part and a wiring part connected to the electrode part; a second stretchable base material that is provided on the one principal surface of the first stretchable base material so as to cover at least the wiring part of the conductive pattern, and that has an opening which exposes at least a portion of the electrode part; and a gel electrode that is provided inside the opening in the second stretchable base material and that is conductive with the electrode part. The gel electrode is also provided on a principal surface of the second stretchable base material not contacting the first stretchable base material, from among the principal surfaces of the second stretchable base material, so as to spread outward from the opening in the second stretchable base material.
