Title:
ELECTROLYTE FOR PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT, AND PHOTOELECTRIC CONVERSION ELEMENT AND DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELL EACH UTILIZING THE ELECTROLYTE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/074237
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrolyte for a photoelectric conversion element, which can achieve a high energy conversion efficiency even when the electrolyte does not substantially contain iodine. Also disclosed are a photoelectric conversion element and a dye-sensitized solar cell, each of which utilizes the electrolyte. Specifically disclosed is an electrolyte for a photoelectric conversion element, which comprises an ionic liquid (A) and a carbon material (B). In the electrolyte, the carbon material (B) is a carbon material (B1) which has a pH value of 2 to 6 as measured by a pH measurement method in accordance with JIS Z8802 and/or a boron-modified acetylene black (B2), and the content of the carbon material (B) is 10 to 50 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the ionic liquid (A).
