Abstract:

Disclosed is an electrolyte solution containing a cyclic carbonate (I) represented by the formula (I) below and an electrolyte salt (II). This electrolyte solution is excellent in flame retardance, low-temperature characteristics and withstand voltage, and exhibits excellent compatibility with hydrocarbon solvents. In addition, the electrolyte salt is well dissolved in the electrolyte solution. (In the formula, Rf¹ represents a fluorine-containing ether group (Ia), a fluorine-containing alkoxy group (Ib) or a fluorine-containing alkyl group (Ic) having 2 or more carbons; X¹ and X² are the same as or different from each other and respectively represent H, F, Cl, CF₃ or CH₃; and X³ represents H, F, Cl or an alkyl group wherein a hydrogen atom may be substituted with a halogen atom and a heteroatom may be contained in the chain.)
