Abstract:
An electrolytic capacitor is provided with an anode, a dielectric layer formed on the anode, and a solid electrolyte layer covering at least a portion of the dielectric layer. The solid electrolyte layer includes a first conductive polymer layer covering at least a portion of the dielectric layer, and a second conductive polymer layer covering at least a portion of the first conductive polymer layer. The second conductive polymer layer includes a second conductive polymer and a water soluble polymer, the water soluble polymer being a copolymer including hydrophilic monomer units having a hydrophilic group. The hydrophilic group is of at least one type selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group, an acid anhydride group, a phenolic hydroxyl group, and a C2-3 alkylene oxide group.
