Abstract:
Provided is an electrolytic cell unit (U) which can efficiently perform electrolysis of water and carbon dioxide. The electrolytic cell unit (U) is configured to at least comprise: an electrolytic cell (1) in which an electrode layer (2) and a counterpart electrode layer (3) are formed with an electrolytic layer (1a) therebetween; and a discharge path (5a) for discharging hydrogen generated from the electrode layer (2), wherein the electrolytic cell (1) is formed on a support body (4) in a thin layer shape, and a reverse water gas shift reaction unit (20), which generates carbon monoxide by using carbon dioxide and the hydrogen through a reverse water gas shift reaction, is provided to at least a portion of the discharge path (5a).
