Abstract:

An electrolytic solution excellent in stability; and cells excellent in cell characteristics and reduced in the case weight. The electrolytic solution comprises a solvent, a supporting salt and a gas generation inhibitor. The gas generation inhibitor contains substances to be formed by the decomposition of the supporting salt in the solvent with the generation of a gas, and serves to control the in-solution equilibrium of the electrolytic solution which participates in the decomposition of the supporting salt. The cells can be produced by filling the space between the positive and the negative electrodes with the electrolytic solution.
