Abstract:
Even when used in the power-off state, this electrolyte generation device makes it possible to know the water flow rate through a water purification cartridge used. A device main body 4, for replaceably holding a water purification cartridge 3, is provided with a power generating means 25, a flow meter 31 and an ancillary control unit 26. The power generating means 25 can generate power through the flow of water through a water flow path 8. In a power off state in which the supply of power from a commercial power source 20 is cut off, the flowmeter 31 can measure the water flow rate of water flowing through the water flow path 8 with the power generating means 25 as the power source. In the power off state, the ancillary control unit 26 stores in a memory unit 26M the water flow rate measured by the flowmeter 31 with the power from the power generating means 25 as the power source.
