Abstract:
An electrolyzed water generator 1 according to the present disclosure is provided with: at least a pair of a positive electrode 32 and a negative electrode 31; an electrolytic cell 3 that comprises a positive electrode chamber 32a and a negative electrode chamber 31a, which are separated from each other by means of a diaphragm 33, so that the positive electrode 32 is contained in the positive electrode chamber 32a and the negative electrode 31 is contained in the negative electrode chamber 31a; a power supply unit 14 for applying an electric current between the positive electrode 32 and the negative electrode 31; and a control unit 10 that controls the power supply unit 14. The control unit 10 controls the power supply unit 14 so that raw water introduced into the electrolytic cell 3 is electrolyzed, thereby generating negative electrode water in the negative electrode chamber 31a and generating positive electrode water in the positive electrode chamber 32a. The control unit 10 senses the timing of cleaning the electrolytic cell 3 on the basis of the value of C∙(i/f) (C is a constant), where i [A] is the current applied during the electrolysis and f [L/sec] is the flow rate of the raw water during the electrolysis. Consequently, the electrolytic cell 3 is able to be cleaned at an appropriate timing.
