Abstract:
An electromagnetic brake release tool (1) uses a configuration wherein release pieces (2) having a tapered wedge portion (2a) are each attached to one end of each of a pair of scissor pieces (3) rotatably supported at the longitudinal center part thereof, said release pieces being attached such that the tip ends of the wedge portion (2a) oppose each other. As a result, merely by thrusting the wedge portion (2a) of the pair of release pieces (2) of this electromagnetic brake release tool (1) between a side plate (16) and an armature (15) of the electromagnetic brake (11) in the braked state, it is possible to separate the armature (16) from the brake disc (14) counter to the elastic force of a brake spring (17), thereby placing the electromagnetic brake (11) in the released state, and to maintain the released state even after the thrusting operation of the release pieces (2) is complete.
