Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic clutch in which the inner circumferential surface (111) of an outer cylindrical section (11) of a rotor (10) and the outer circumferential surface (121) of an inner cylindrical section (12) of the rotor (10) are formed to have a stepped shape. With regard to the interval between the outer cylindrical section (11) and the inner cylindrical section (12) of the rotor (10) in the radial direction of the rotor (10), the interval (D12) at a position on the side opposite from the armature side is wide compared to the interval (D11) at a position on the armature side. The outer circumferential surface (311) of an outer cylindrical section (31) of a stator (30) and the inner circumferential surface (321) of an inner cylindrical section (32) are formed to have a stepped shape. With regard to the distance between the outer circumferential surface (311) of the outer cylindrical section (31) and the inner circumferential surface (321) of the inner cylindrical section (32) in the radial direction of the stator (30), the outer cylindrical section (31) and the inner cylindrical section (32) of the stator (30) are configured so that a second distance (D22) at a position on the side opposite from the armature side is long compared to a first distance (D21) at a position on the armature side.
